George and Bonnie Callahan April Award Winners
Keep Pickens Beautiful is pleased to present the Green Thumb Award for April to George and Bonnie Callahan of 5157 Highway 53 East, Tate, GA. The Callahan’s settled in Tate a year ago. Since then they have been busy landscaping their yard. They have enclosed the entire yard with white picket fence, which includes an archway complete with gate and stone entrance. Knock out roses grace the inside and outside of the fence. Their entire yard is planted in beautiful flowering bushes and plants. Their home was built in 1937 for a supervisor of the Tate Marble Company (Crawford Long Foreman). The home is beautifully preserved in its original condition. A quick look at basement revealed marble grave markers used to construct the basement walls and floors. KPB would like to say thank you to, Bonnie and George, for beautifying your home and yard for all to enjoy.
