Keep Pickens Beautiful would like to say “Thank you” to the students at Harmony Elementary School for their participation again this year in decorating our Christmas tree at the Library. Each year the Pickens County Library sponsors the Festival of Trees, area schools, businesses and groups decorate trees using a theme from their organization. KPB features recycling, the students take the most unusable items and by using their imagination create tree ornaments. Corks, light bulbs milk cartons, neck ties and bottles to name just a few of what you will see. Susan Anderson their teacher is teaching far more than how to create a tree ornament, recycling is a very necessary thing to do in our growing environment. Please take time out to visit the library during regular hours and view all the beautifully decorated trees. The exhibit will be on display until December 26, 2009.
